I just scored a cancellation at Juju at 5:30 this afternoon. I am very tempted to do something different with my hair. It's too long, the bangs aren't working quite right and I'm sick of it. I would really like to go short, since it hasn't been short since the Older Child was quite young, but I don't really have the time or money for the monthly maintenance trims required by short hair. What's a girl to do? Advice please!
This is what it looked like in the middle of October, so it's similar now, but the bangs are too long, and it's halfway down my back, which seems too long for a woman of my advanced years:
This is the same haircut one month later:
Looking at these pictures I'm thinking the (totally natural) color is kind of boring, but I can't afford professional color now. Oh, how I miss the days when I could spring for highlights, lowlights and a shine process.
Should I just get my bangs cut thicker and shorter and a few inches off the length? Should I do something very different? Should I buy a box of drugstore color? And if so, what color? Help!
I would say keep the bangs growing out and do a layered bob thingie so you can sweep the bangs.
