It's new wide plank pine with a dark walnut stain.

The house is on it's way to being magnificent. Slowly.

Ledges It seems like we should be able to work these ledge ideas into our house. This one is especially cute. (From Pink Wallpaper.) A ledge behind our couch would be a lot more useful than what is currently behind it-- a bench we don't have a place for, which, since it's almost unseen, ends up collecting junk. I'm not crazy about how this looks, but I think the idea could be used for a desk...
